Since the 16th century, a tradition has settled in Seville: Easter.
This happened because of the great fervent religiosity that spread through Spain in those years due to the Council of Trent, a Catholic counter-Reformation, defense of Catholic values
against the Protestant reform that emerged in Central Europe.
That popular religiosity that was born in those centuries is the one that we will explain in our tour about the Seville brotherhood. In it, we will observe the different changes that Seville's Holy Week has had through the centuries: traditions, changes of venues, legends, brotherhood mergers, the importance of brotherhoods in the history of their neighborhoods and of the city itself, etc.
We will also tell why the importance of this tradition in the city and how it affects the day to day of the city of Seville. All of this visiting the brotherhoods of most historical importance in the city.
Join us on this tour and discover the Seville brotherhood.
