As we know, Naples has a history as the great capital of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. That is, of all southern Italy. The splendour of the succession of Bourbon dynasties marks its architecture, especially in the monumental area, denoted 'The Royal Naples'. The great Via Toledo, today a shopping boulevard, all the way to the Mergellina promenade; represent the baroque area. Surrounded by the ancient Baroque palaces, the old shopping arcade dedicated to King Umberto I, the two castles: the Maschio Angioino and the Castel dell'Ovo, from the Angevin period. From the San Carlo Theatre and the imposing Piazza Plebiscito with its Royal Palace. A symbol of the city in the world and a monarchical representative square in the royal period. Walking around and learning about the history of that era will take you back to the ancient splendours of the Kingdom of Naples, known in the 18th century as one of the most developed and emancipated kingdoms in all of Europe.
